Farmer Education
Growing great tasting coffee requires not just hard work but also skills and knowledge. For years, the Tanzania Coffee Research Institute (TaCRI) has partnered with the Mount Meru Coffee Project to deliver hands-on training to local farmers. This collaboration has led to improved quality and higher yields.
Program Sponsorship
While TaCRI’s training is free, the Mount Meru Coffee Project covers the costs of meals and transportation for farmers attending the 3-day program. At about $70 per person, we aim to send 100-120 farmers annually. Your financial assistance plays a crucial role in offsetting these expenses.
Investing in Their Future
Make a world of difference for the farmers and the Project. For just $70, you can sponsor a 3-day training session at the TaCRI facility near Moshi, at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro. Successful trainees also receive a free cultivar plant, a practical reward that symbolizes their resilience and growth.
