Learn More About the Mt. Meru Coffee Project

Our focus and mission continue to be on helping to improve the standard of living in the Meru region.
These are our main motivations in keeping the Mt. Meru Coffee Project going:

Supporting Families
Before Mt. Meru Coffee Project, the farmers in the region had to contend with undervalued market prices for their products. With your help, we have given them a chance to raise their prices to a global standard.
The profit generated by this has ensured the incomes of the households involved.

Growing Futures
Education is the key to eradicating poverty. To make farming more sustainable, we have made training programs available to keep their skills up to date.
You can sponsor a 3-day training session for a farmer at $55. Training programs are held and carried out by the TaCRI facility near Moshi at the base of Mt. Kilimanjaro.
For group trainings: $1100
Successful trainees receive a free Cultivar plant at the end of the training program.

Changing Lives
Part of the profits Mt. Meru Coffee Project makes also goes into funding the education of the Mt/ Meru farmers’ children.
We have also made healthcare more accessible to the region.

These have increased the quality of life for the inhabitants of Mt. Meru.
We cannot do it without you.
Your continued support of our products and the people behind it keep us going.
